Weekend Wrap-Up

Hi all! We had a nice weekend around here.  Kase and I have been spending TONS of time building with Legos. I keep telling him I'm going to need our kitchen table back at some point but in the meantime he's having a lot of fun.

The fort building also continues.

Thursday was Dad's Day at preschool.  This is always a neat event- the kids make ties and answer special questions about their dads, then they get to spend time together doing an activity.  This year they made paper airplanes and had a blast!

We finally had some snow around here so the kids were excited to go out and play!

Kase has been dying to visit Huston to play Nerf guns- he's been asking me for weeks now if we can go to his house, so finally this week it worked out!

Thursday night I had book club with friends and Kent sent me this photo while I was gone.  Love seeing them have fun!

Friday night we went to Sleepy Hollow to do some snow tubing! We've been wanting to go for a long time, but the age minimum is four years old, so this was the first year the kids could all go.  We had so much fun! The tubing was great and the zipfy sleds were fun too.  A great time had by all, no doubt!

Saturday morning we had basketball.  Big shoutout to our village who always come support the kids! Grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles and cousins- we seem to always have the largest cheering section! Kent's assistant coach for Kase's team was out of town so he had Kylee and Kael help.  They did an awesome job corralling the kids on the sideline and helping with drills! Also, how grown up does Kael look in this pictures?! Such a middle schooler.

Kael and Kylee both had games too.  Grandpa helped entertain Kase by reading some super hero books.

Kael's last game of the season! Nice job, Ducks!! It was a fun game to watch because evidently one of Kael's teammates dad had promised his son they could get a dog if he scored five baskets and sure enough, the kid scored five baskets! The whole crowd went wild when he sunk that last one! Ha!

Saturday night Kylee had a sleepover with a friend.  Kent, Kael, Kase and I made pizza here then they watched some movie that they knew neither Kylee or I would like.  A total boys' night and they loved it.

Sunday after church we went to Collins for Sunday dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's.  It was great to see everyone.  Then I had training for the Night to Shine event coming up at our church.  While I was gone, Kent and the kids got a ton of stuff done for me around here (laundry, groceries and even some cleaning!)

We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening at my parents' house.  Kent took the kids for a long walk out back, later we ordered pizza and my sister and her family came over too.  The kids had fun playing together and it was a lovely end to our weekend.

Looking forward to a great week ahead!
