You thought the birthday celebrations were done, didn't you? Nope! Today we got to celebrate a really special one- my mom's! She's just the best, you guys. I texted her the other day asking if she had something totally random (a sweater defuzzer, actually) and by the time I got home from preschool she had dropped it off at my house along with a couple slices of homemade peach pie! That's how good she is!
My mom and I are close, and I feel so lucky to have her. With Mother's Day right around the corner, I'm feeling extra thankful that she's mine! I talk to her every day on the phone and the day just doesn't feel right if I don't. She listens to all my stories about the kids, lets me vent my frustrations and shares in my joy. She offers to watch the kids anytime and genuinely enjoys doing so.
We had a great time celebrating her tonight- we had pizza and cake at my sister's house and the cousins had so much fun playing together. Then we laughed over old photos in a book we had made for her. It was a good, good night.
We love you, Mom!
