We still had a few items left on our Summer Bucket List that I was afraid we weren't going to get to before school starts in, oh, a week and a half (eek!). In the last few days we've knocked a few more items off our list- hooray! First, a couple random Kase pictures.

Kase loves his Sophie giraffe. |
Last Thursday night we went to the Indianola Balloon Classic which is something I've wanted to do for a long time with the kids. They had a great time watching the balloons rise up over the hill- Kael and Kylee are
dying to ride in a hot air balloon now! At $175/ride I didn't let them do it, but I'm not saying never. Seriously how cool would it be to ride in one of those? I mean, not for me. I'd be terrified. But they'd love it. They also had fun playing in the inflatables there and dancing to the live band. Kylee came home singing, "867-5309 Jenny I got your number" for the next three days. :)

This was one of the coolest inflatables I've seen. A giant wrecking ball! |

Night Glow. Awesome. |
Friday we spent the day at Adventureland which is no small task when a three month old is involved and it's nearly 100 degrees out. A big thanks to my bros for taking Kael and Kylee on the roller coasters with them! Kylee even did the Tornado- I was so proud of her! We had a great day hanging out with Kent's family.

Kylee and the birthday boy. |
This weekend was a nice combination of relaxing/getting things done. Kent flies out to DC for work this week so I'm trying to get lots of Kylee's birthday prep and back-to-school prep done before he leaves. I did take the kids to the new Cherry Berry fro-yo place in town and it was delish. While Kael's orange sorbet topped with M & Ms, strawberries and brownie bites looked almost as tempting as Kylee's birthday cake flavor topped with sprinkles and chocolate chip cookie dough bites, I was perfectly happy with my chocolate topped with Snickers and brownie bites. :)
On Sunday, Kael and Kylee had to teach my dad and Kent how to fish. :) Then they had a sleepover with my mom- another thing they've been wanting to do all summer.

Kylee caught a big walleye- Grandpa Dean would be so proud! |

This fishin' stuff is awfully tough... |
Lastly, for those of you who know my sister is pregnant, please be thinking of her as her blood pressure has started to rise quite a bit lately as it did when she was pregnant with Brooklyn. I am sooo anxious to meet my new nephew but not so anxious that I'm ready for him to be here quite yet since her due date isn't until early October. Please keep her in your thoughts/prayers!
I heart summer. I really do. And this one flew by awfully quickly as things got kind of busy with Kase and with moving. I feel like we still fit in a lot of fun. But now I'm ready for cooler temps, football games, chili, apple orchard visits....bring on fall!!!

Looks like your family had a great time. The balloons look neat. My favorite one has the face on the balloon.
