I'm thankful we found out who Kael's teacher will be this fall. There are five sections of second grade at his new school and there were two teachers he hoped for and he got one of them! I'm just happy he seems excited for the school year and seems to show no signs of being anxious about starting a new school. I'm sure there will be some first day/week jitters, but really he's handling all these changes (new baby, new house, new school) like a champ!
I'm thankful for some fun plans tomorrow. Adventureland, here we come!
I'm thankful that our weekend at the lake went as well as it did last weekend! Kase and I were both just getting over colds, and there were three babies under six months old all spending the night under one roof, and it was wonderful! We got in some boating, skiing, relaxing and eating. Good times with great friends. I'd really like to go back. Like right now. I can have everything packed in less than an hour. Shall we?? ;)
I'm thankful for the Olympics. The kids are really getting into it, too. Letting your kids watch the Olympics on TV is a total freebie, right? Can't feel guilty about
I'm thankful that we only have three parks left on our Summer Park Tour. Whew. When we embarked on this park tour thing, I was not anticipating this brutal heat wave. Kase does not love to be hot so we've been trying to squeeze park time in before nap time in the mornings which doesn't always work out. Honestly, for awhile there I thought we might not get to all the parks but now I'm confident we can hit the last three before school starts in two weeks.
I'm really thankful for my iPhone so I can Face Time my KC sister. Today I have plans to have Kase "call" her so that his cute little face shows up when she answers....so then it's called Kase Time, right? I crack me up.
I'm thankful that Kylee finished up her swimming lessons today. She really loved going and watching her out there brought back soooo many great memories I have of swimming as a kid!
I'm thankful that Kael and Kylee are still so completely enamored with Kase. They are the.best.helpers. Hands down. Anytime he needs anything, they jump at the chance to help him, and are never frustrated with him if we have to cut a park visit (or anything else for that matter) short so that he can get home to eat/nap. Sometimes I have to pinch myself because I'm afraid it's not even real how amazing/understanding/caring they are with him. It's not a bad little life we have here at the Patterson house. How about at your place? Whatcha thankful for today?
