Weekend Wrap-Up

Fun start to the weekend on Thursday night with a great race from the Jags and Kylee had a LIFETIME BEST!!! It was so exciting.  She sure puts in the work so I'm really happy for her and just so proud.

We enjoy being the team parents so we are there early to set up and get to see Kylee having fun with her friends for hours before the race even starts.

One of her friends did her hair-so cute!

Her coach was SO happy for her.

And Kylee had tons of people there cheering her on! Sean found her right away at the finish line.

All the grandparents were there too!

And Sean's parents even came to watch!

Hugs from a teammate.

LOVE our girl.

Fast forward to the rest of the weekend we had gotten a kind of last minute text from Kael saying he and his friends got tickets to the Iowa/ISU game and they wanted to come stay over Friday.  I offered to cook dinner and he requested ribs so we had the best time just hanging out with him and his friends Friday night! Great group of guys and I couldn't be happier for Kael.  We just really enjoyed spending time with them.  Kylee and Kase had gone to the home Jag football game with friends so they had a fun night too!

Saturday morning Kylee had a long run and Kael and his buddies were up early and headed to Ames.  They had a blast at Big Noon kickoff and even though Iowa lost they had a great day.

Sean and Kylee spent most of the day hanging out here with us- it was Sean's birthday so we had some gifts for him and we just had a fun day here setting up a tailgate in the garage and front yard. And wouldn't you know it a bunch of Kase's friends came too.  By the end of the afternoon I think there were 10 teenagers here- half of them girls.  Ha.  But it was a great day.  Later Kylee and Sean went out for a birthday dinner and we enjoyed seeing Kael and his friends as they stopped by on their way back to Pella.

Sunday after church we just got a few things done around the house.  Kylee and Sean had plans with his parents. Kent took Kase golfing in the afternoon.  Later we all celebrated Kent's birthday at Big Steer with his parents.  So fun that we could all go to celebrate our favorite guy!!!
