Weekend Wrap-Up

What a weekend, you guys.

First of all- a HUGE thank you for all of those who have kept my brother-in-law in your thoughts and prayers.  Sounds like things are continuing to improve for him and I know it's been a tough week for my sister and her family so please keep the good vibes coming for them!!

It was Homecoming week for the kids and Kylee and Kase had fun with the dress up days. More on Homecoming in a bit!

Kase and I had a fun afternoon getting ice cream and walking around The District last week.  He spends so much time with Kent at baseball and football and so much time with friends that it's really fun when he and I get a little time together.

Kent painted a football field for the boys in our backyard!

Back to Homecoming- the cheerleaders TP'd our house!

We knew one of the girls who was in the group who did our house and they took this picture by our tree. So fun.

Love the door sign and yard sign for Kael!

Kent surprised me with anniversary flowers, new wine glasses and a nice bottle of wine.  He's the best.

We spent the day together golfing and going out for lunch.  It was a great day.

That night was the Homecoming game!

It was a close one but we lost at the last second.

Saturday morning we were up early and to the ball fields with these crazies!

Meanwhile, Kylee and her friend were at home hanging out.  Selfies from teenagers are just the best.

Kase's team won the first two games then had a long break and we struggled in the last game.

Kase is so hard on himself when he doesn't pitch as well as he knows he could have.  Caught this sweet moment of Kent telling Kase how once he walked four batters in a row in college and got taken out the first inning.

It's OK, buddy.  We know you're a great pitcher but that doesn't mean you have your best game every single time.

These buddies finished the day in second place and I am so proud of all of them!

We hustled home to see Kael off to the Homecoming dance!

So handsome and grown up.

Kent even let him drive the truck!

I was so thankful Kael found this group of kids to go with.

We took pictures at Briarwood then they all went to eat at Portofino's.

Kael never has much to say but he did say he had a good time at dinner and at the dance. I'm just so happy for him.

Kylee had her Driver's Ed final on Sunday morning. She has been doing a really good job so I'm not surprised at all that she passed! She was so happy. Afterwards she got a massage, using the gift card she got for her birthday.

Later Kase had a football game.  He played great at quarterback and it was a close, feisty game but he had fun. Love watching him play!
