Weekend Wrap-Up

Another busy, fun fall weekend in the books. 

Last week we got our flu shots from VaxiTaxi! The kids even raved about the process!

 

We've been having lots of fun with Kase's buddies coming over to play Among Us at night. They really are just part of the family at this point.

Thursday I got to sub at preschool and be in my niece's class! It was so fun being back and I loved getting to hang out with her!

This is *most* of the backyard football gang.  Missing a couple but these boys have clocked so.many.hours playing after school this fall. 

Friday after school Kael went to Get Air with a friend and that evening Kylee and Kase went to my parents' house since Kent and I had a wedding reception to go to. 

Such a fun time- love hanging out with my sisters-in-law!

Saturday we went all different directions.  Kylee had a meet at DMACC so I went there with her.  It was a beautiful day and later my parents and Kael joined to cheer her on.  It was her longest race yet and she did awesome!

Meanwhile, Kase had basketball in Carlisle.  Kent and Keith and Cindy went there to watch the first game and I made it for the last two games.  

The first two games were a little rough but we won the last one in overtime- so exciting!

Of course the boys spent their time between games playing football.  What a great group of kids.

When we got home, three little faces peeked in our front door and knocked, hoping Kase could play.  We had new lights installed out back and they couldn't wait to play under them.  It was awesome.  One of the boys said, "You guys, I feel like we are so good and really fast with these new lights"- ha! Kylee and Kael were both sleeping over at friends' houses. 

Sunday Kent and I went for a long walk, watched church online then Kase played with friends and Kael helped Kent put up Christmas lights.  Kylee spent the afternoon hanging out with her cousin and it was so great for me to hang out and catch up with my sister! Kase had a birthday party at the Go Kart racing place in Grimes and he had a blast doing that.  Later my dad stopped by and dropped off some turkey and muffins- the boys and all of Kase's friends made quick work of that! They loved it all so much! 

Later we had our typical Patterson family Sunday Funday- Kent had smoked some ribs and was showing Kael how to cut them. We enjoyed a nice family dinner then played outside a bit before coming into relax.  I love our family time.
