Weekend Wrap-Up

What a fun few days it's been for us!

Kase was feeling well enough to go back to school on Friday for his Valentine's party.  I'm so glad I got to go too!

They made some super cute pillows and put hearts inside with a list of things they love.  Kase's list was pretty long!

He was so proud of his Vikings Valentine box!

He had lots of fun with his classmates.

And since Kent was home sick, Kase got to show him all his Valentines when he got home! They had so much fun looking at all the cards and treats from friends.

As soon as Kylee was done with school we headed for a volleyball tournament in Omaha! Her friend rode with us and of course we kicked off the road trip with Starbucks!

We stopped by the complex first so I could get my tickets for the weekend.  What a HUGE, awesome place!

Then we hurried to the hotel so the girls could swim with friends.

Once the whole team arrived Kylee gave everyone some sweet Valentine gifts.

The girls had fun running around the hotel but didn't stay up too late.  The next morning they had breakfast before heading together.

They played great all day! Undefeated!

There were lots of Ankeny teams there- Kylee had fun seeing her friend who is a grade above her but Kylee finally passed her in height!

Our team llama even got some CVA gear!

Back at the hotel the girls swam, then thought it would be a good idea to run outside- ha!

Then we had a fun team pizza dinner.

Day 2 we were ready to go! Lost a close match to a tough team.  I just love Kylee's coach and how she spends time talking with the girls.

A smoothie after a long day of volleyball!

The girls went 2-1 the second day which placed them in the Gold bracket- yay! They spent the afternoon at the hotel doing a selfie scavenger hunt and just hanging out.  Our room was where the team ended up hanging out most of the time which Kylee loved.

Day 3 the girls started off and lost their first set but came back and won big their second set.  It went to a third and we lost 15-13.  Girls were disappointed but handled it so well.  The competition at a big tournament like this was tough! So proud of each of them.

Love these girls!

Back home, Kent was having fun with the boys. He stayed back here because Kase had a basketball tournament (they played great too!)  Kent took Kael and Kase to a movie, Kase had a pool party, Kael had friends sleepover and they even kept the house tidy in my absencse! I know they had a fun boys weekend and we missed having them at the tournament!
