Here's how we've spent our last few days!
Kase sent some sweet I Miss You picture to my parents, who got home from a long trip this week. He was excited to see them!
He has spent a lot of time building forts in our living room since our house is still all torn up. #ForcedRemodel.
Thursday afternoon, Kael and Kylee left for a trip with Keith and Cindy so I took Kase to Chick-Fil-A after school to play. He and I used to do that a lot and we hadn't done it forever. He had so much fun and it was great to spend some one on one time with my littlest buddy.
The next day I got to go to his class party. It was so much fun!
He has some really close buddies in his class this year.
Later that night he had one of his friends over for an "un-sleepover" meaning they played football all afternoon then came in for pizza and a movie and a little Fortnite. Then his friend when home right before bedtime. They had a blast! Please also notice that our basement is put back together! It feels SO good to have one level of our house back to hang out in!!!
Saturday morning was cold so we took Kase to Trail Point to run around. He and Kent had fun in the gym together.
He also spent some time building blocks and watching football. I think it was weird for him to be an only child all weekend!
Meanwhile, I was getting some awesome pictures from the kids while they were in the Dells. I'm so happy they got to have a little getaway. I'm so blessed with such awesome in-laws! And the kids were thrilled to spend time with their grandparents and get out of the house for a long weekend. They ate at some really fun restaurants, played some shuffleboard, got some cool old time photos taken, did some go-karts, did tie-dye and had fun swimming. I think it was a great weekend for them.
Saturday night Kent and I went out for dinner with my sisters and their husbands. The kids all hung out together at my parents and had a blast!
Sunday, Kael and Kylee got home and Kylee went up to Kase's football game with me. It was so sweet- at the end of the game Kase came running across the field yelling, "Kylee!!!" and gave her a huge hug. He was so happy to see her.
We got home from the game in just enough time for the snow to start. Can you believe it?! Snow on October 14! If you look closely you can see the snowflakes in her hair...
They even played a little football in the snow!
We wrapped up our weekend with a stop by our church's 20th birthday party! Kase loved the jumpy house and balloon sword he got!
I feel like we have one more super busy week ahead then things may start to slow down for us for a little while. Hope you all had a great weekend!
