Weekend Fun

We (barely) survived the first full week of school! Whew! Bodies are tired and emotions are high so we welcomed the weekend with open arms.

Here's what's been going on in our world.

Kent is playing flag football. The kids LOVE to watch him play, especially Kael. Me? I just love an excuse to put Kase in a football jersey.

Kylee had her birthday celebration at school. She was excited to be the first one of the year! She proudly sat in front of her class showing pictures and treasured items from home then answered all sorts of questions from her classmates. Kent and I were dying at this portion of her celebration. My favorite question asked was "What are your favorite pants?" Hilarious. The other highlights were when 1) Kylee boldly announced to the class mid-session that she would not be calling on anyone who had already asked a question and 2) Kylee called on a girl in the corner by addressing her as, "girl in the corner who I don't know". All in all it was so fun to be there with Kylee in her room, especially so close to the beginning of the year where everything is so new.

Kael has been melting in this heat. He just is a different kid when he's overheated and tired from the demands of a school day.

Kase gets in the pantry every single day with the goal of sneaking a square of chocolate.

We cheered for some Jaguar volleyball.

We had a little Creme. Hello, Yellow for him, Peanut Butter Passion for her.

Kase has been teething which means he's a little more ~~clingy~~ fond of me than usual. It also means he eats more ice cream, which he's thrilled about.

We got some of the best available chiropractic care in the biz! Rob was doing this cool scan (I'm almost certain that's the appropriate term) where both Kent and I learned some fascinating facts. For example, from two quick pictures Rob took of me, he could tell that I always carry Kase on my right side. Crazy! But it's totally true!
