Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday Kent took Kase out of school early and they headed to Witchita so Kase could be a guest player for a buddy's team, the Scrappers. They had a great time hanging out at the hotel Friday night with the their friends!

Kylee has bible study Friday mornings with FCA- love this pic of her group of friends.

Kylee had plans with friends and I went to the mall.  I also got myself dinner while I was out and about and when I went to pay my bill the waitress said, "Oh it's already been covered- a real pay it forward moment!" then kinda nodded at a guy sitting over alone across the restaurant.  So, that was unexpected. People are kind.   

Saturday Kylee slept in then had a long run. I went to my niece's volleyball games then spent the rest of the day watching basketball and researching upcoming trip plans and prepping for Easter.  It was the loveliest afternoon.  Kylee went to Garrett's for awhile then out for dinner with friends. I also got to watch Kase's game's on Game Changer- I am so happy he got to play this weekend and did a great job.  I know he had been really nervous before the tournament and he's always extra hard on himself (he wasn't happy with striking out the first game and walking a few batters the second game- but of course didn't mention his stand up double that knocked in two runs, his amazing play at short stop or the four batters he struck out in two innings...) so overall I think he was happy to just get out on the field and play! Plus Kent said that one of the kids that Kase had played with a couple years ago in Tennessee was just super nice to Kase and really friendly and made him feel welcome and like a real part of the team so that was great to hear.

Sunday was gloomy and rainy and the games got canceled at a decent time so the boys headed home.  Kylee and I went to Beau's birthday party- so fun to see the fam.  Then she had a Walk meeting at church, I got groceries and did some meal prep for the week. When she got home, Garrett came over and they helped me dye Easter eggs- love that they were willing to do that with me! Kent and Kase got home and Kase played FortNite with friends then later Asher came over.  We made pizzas for dinner then went to Culvers for dessert then later sat in the hot tub.  Lovely end to the weekend!
