I didn't realize I hadn't posted on Thursday this week so this one will be a long one playing catch up with all the pictures!
Kael played football on Monday at Waukee. It was a beautiful night and he got a ton of playing time and looked great. It's really fun seeing him take a leadership role on the JV team and awesome to see him be confident out there.
Meanwhile, Kase was playing fall ball and got to try out being catcher- he loved it!
Tuesday Kylee had a meet at Valley. It was a hilly course and fairly warm but she did well and got fourth on the team this time! Jags WIN!
I'm always thankful for shots from family and friends during the race!
And everyone who comes out to support her.
Kylee is really starting to connect with the varsity girls and had fun getting Orange Leaf with them after the meet.
Wednesday was busy as usual with football for Kael, basketball for Kase, bible study for Kylee, Junkyard for Kylee and Kael and Men's Group for Kent.
Thursday Kent and Kase were free and Kent surprised Kase by having the truck loaded and ready to head to the A frame right after school!
They had some pretty good luck.
The highlight was catching this catfish.
So glad these two were able to take advantage of a beautiful day.
I got to finally help serve one of Kael's team dinners! Great seeing him out there and also I had a few minutes to talk with a couple coaches and they had such great things to say about Kael. So that made me happy and proud!
Friday night we stopped by an Edward Jones get together for a bit before the football game. Then Kent was on the sidelines doing stats and I caught this cute moment of the two of them.
It was a nice night and a good game against Cedar Falls! Kael got in for a few snaps too so I was so happy for him.
Kent and his stat taking friends.
Saturday morning Kylee had a looooong run in some kind of dicey weather so she was very ready to relax afterwards. Kael worked and Kase had a 7 on 7 football game. He looked great at QB and his team won!
Then we loaded up and headed to Iowa City for the game! Kylee decided to sit this one out since we knew it would be a lot of time on her feet and it would be a late night. So Kase brought his friend Easton along!
We parked in our favorite spot and set up our tailgate.
My buddy.
We had a ton of fun snacking, playing bags; the boys played football. It was great.
We met up wiht a few other friends!
Then eventually made our way over to say hi to a few more Ashland Ridge friends. We passed the boys principal on the way so they thought it was pretty great saying hi to him!
Squad.
The weather held off for our tailgate and we made it to the stadium and then shortly after the rain started. The kids were such troopers about it and we got to see a pretty good first half! I think all of our expectations were fairly low so to see some offense finally come together was awesome. We decided to pack it up shortly after halftime started and it sounds like we made a great decision doing that since they had to clear the stadium not too long after we left for severe weather. All in all, a great day and night!
Back at home Kylee went to visit Kellen and Krue who were at Keith and Cindy's. I think they were happy to see her! Then Kylee hung out with her boyfriend for awhile and had a nice night in.
Sunday Kael worked, Kase had football pictures and a game. Of course there was lightning spotted so there was a delay but he did get his game in and played well. We got to see cousins Kellen play soccer and Huston play football too! Kylee hung out with Garrett, Kase played with friends and Kael had football team lifting and walk through.
Our cheerleader neighbor friend dropped Kael's football poster off today to kick off Homecoming week! Here we go!!!
Later Sunday night Kylee played sand volleyball with some cross country friends and the rest of us had a lazy night in. Our weekends are exhaustingly fun!
