Weekend Wrap-Up

Lots to fill you in on here- our weeks are FULL, you guys.

Monday Kael played in the JV game and did great! What a beautiful night for football and loved all the fam that came out to watch him.

Tuesday Kylee played volleyball at Dowling.  Her freshman team won and all other levels lost that day so they felt proud!

Love to see her having fun with friends.

Kaser got a trumpet.  He's so happy and loves playing it.  He's not bad! His friends did manage to get the mouthpiece jammed in it and stuck already...so....there's that.  Can't say I'm surprised.

We had a fun day celebrating our favorite guy.  He got some grilling spices, a range finder, and...

Kael picked him out this cool Slipknot beach towel!

Kent and I made it a day date going to Cedar Rapids to watch Kylee run- left town a little early and found a fun lunch spot!

Meanwhile, Grandma Cindy was holding down the fort at home fishing with Kase and Clay then later took Kase out for ice cream and to Garrett's football game!

Kylee had a good race despite the heat and long bus ride.  She kept her varsity spot and had a good attitude about it so I was happy for her.

By Friday we were all pretty wiped.  Kent went to the Jag Roar in Waukee then to the football game to take stats and I stayed home with Kase so he could chill and also to be home for Kylee when she stopped in between XC and other plans.

These two goofballs had a nice relaxing night together just chilling and watching Kael's game.

We were all SO excited to see Kael on TV! Jags won! And Kael did a great job.

We could see so well watching on the tv. Love being at the games but having Kase sit beside me and actually both of us have such a great view was fun.

Meanwhile, Kylee was at the ISU volleyball game with a whole gang of friends.

Saturday morning Kase had his first 7-7 game of the season and he loved it.  These fast paced games are so fun.  He threw six or seven touchdowns!

Then immediately came home and went fishing in the rain.

We had a pretty low key day as far as Iowa/ISU game days go.  Kael was at work for part of the game and Kylee's boyfriend came over but we just chilled and watched the game, had some fun snacks and enjoyed being together.

Kase and Dre got bored when we were losing and headed out fishing again!

After the game Kent and I joined them and took a sunset walk around Georgetown. So pretty.

Sunday after church, Kase had another football game.  Beautiful day for it!

Then we stopped by Keith and Cindy's- they had some fun gifts for Kent for his birthday and a cake that was so good.  Great to catch up with them.

When we got home, Kent surprised Kael with a new bass guitar! Kael has been playing so much and is really enjoying learning the guitar so Kent wanted to get him this one too.  He was really happy and we loved listening to him play all afternoon.

Later that evening Kent and I met up with some friends- we go out for Mexican every year together around Kent and Jess's birthday time. Kael had team football walk through, Kase was fishing. We were all  home and relaxing together as a family by early evening which was great!!
