Kase had a field trip on Friday to Living History Farms and I went along. It was unseasonably chilly.
Kase and a couple of his Crew buddies above and below.
The highlight of the day for sure happened at the lunch break when one of the boys wadded up a plastic water bottle and found a stick and they played some baseball. The rest of the field trip was not Kase's favorite.
That night he had his last football game of the season. These boys played great!
Saturday morning Kael worked, Kylee went along to watch a cousin play blast ball, and Kase had a couple baseball games. We went 2-0 on the day and Kase pitched great, including incorporating a few change ups that were just awesome! Here is a look at our 2022 banner!
These are the days, man.
When we got home, Kael went to the gym (he's been working really hard lately to eat healthy and work out- I'm so proud of that guy) and Kylee and I went for a drive- in just a couple weeks she will have her school permit and will be driving on her own so it's good to get her practicing again! We made a quick stop at a cute new-ish coffee shop nearby. Then she went with Cindy to get a pedicure. Later we had family dinner at Cancun then came home and watched A League of Their Own. Great night.
Kylee drove us all to dinner in her Impala!
Sunday we were back at the ball fields. We went 1-1 on the day! The boys had a long break between the games so they were just chilling- Kase calls this the American Burrito.
Kase did not feel well game 1 and was not himself at all. A pep talk from Dad (and also from another Crew dad, Brad) got him going again and he played great in game two.
Kael worked all day, Kylee came to the games to watch with Grandpa Keith and Grandma Cindy. It was a fun day! We got home and had a friend's 40th birthday party and Kael had football. Another great weekend in the books!
