Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful we live so close to all the schools.  The kids have ISASP tests this week so they have altered schedules and I was out for a walk when Kael texted me, "I have open campus for lunch today, is it OK if I go to Subway?" Of course I said yes and was hoping to see him as I was walking nearby and sure enough as I rounded the corner he was just on his way back to school and stopped to talk to me for a minute.  Fun running into him in the middle of the school day! The ISASP schedule also allowed for Kael to go to school late on Wednesday so I had a nice lunch date with him.  So thankful for moments like this.

I'm thankful that, due to aforementioned ISASP tests, Kase has no math homework this week! Wahoo! That's as much of a celebration for me as it is for him. He hate, hate, HATES doing homework and the week off was a very welcomed surprise.

I'm thankful for Kylee's first 8th grade track meet.  She was kind of anxious about it because they put her in two relays and they hadn't really practiced handoffs at all.  Plus she was running a 100 and an 800- two races she was not familiar with or confident in at all.  But when she got out there- wow she just looked great! Her team won both races and Kylee passed every single girl when it was her leg of the 800.  Excited to see what the season has in store for her!

Happy Thursday!
