Kael had a great time last week in Okoboji with Keith and Cindy for his 16th birthday gift- parasailing! Kael LOVED it! They also had fun mini golfing and go karting!
Meanwhile, back home, we've been spending a lot of time fishing! It's Kase's new obsession since baseball is over for awhile.
Kylee caught a really nice one!
We've also been fitting in lots of pool time.
Friday night was Kylee's cross country family picnic at Big Creek. It was so much fun! A huge turnout and it was great to meet some of the families. The girls let Kase and a few other younger siblings join in on speed ball later in the evening. Also, one of the dads happens to be the lifting coach and had the nicest things to say about Kael!
Kent and Kase spotted a deer while we were out there!
Saturday we went to the A frame! Kael opted to stay home since he had just been there a couple weeks ago and had to work in the afternoon so he wouldn't have been able to stay for long. He and my mom had fun hanging out!
Kase enjoyed fishing with Channing and Crew- my cousins' sons who he rarely gets to see!
Kent was the luckiest/best fisherman of the day.
We all enjoyed being out on the kayaks and paddleboard.
Grandpa even let Kase drive the Gator!
Swimming and jumping off the floating dock is always a highlight.
Simon even gave Kase a ride in his go kart. Kase thought that was pretty cool!
Being up at the pond is just good for the soul. It was so nice to have the day to spend there.
Sunday morning Kael worked and Kent and Kylee went golfing midday. Later that afternoon Kylee had volleyball tryouts so Kent, Kael, Kase and I went boating. It was so great seeing the boys have fun together and it was just a really nice day out on the water!
Later that night we had the best family night. Kent had put up the volleyball net earlier in the day then he mowed out of bounds lines for it! We did pizzas on the grill, played speed ball, later the boys did tricks on the trampoline while Kent and I practiced volleyball with Kylee. Later Kase's friend stopped by and we busted out the new radar gun for baseball and the kids all had fun with that.
We're ready for another fun, busy week!
