Thursday night was Ashland Ridge night at Urban Air. Kael had choir rehearsal but I took Kase and Kylee and Kase had a friend go along too. They had a blast and came home tired!
Friday night was the Winter RUNderland Fun Run. Kase wasn't feeling 100% and fell down during the race, so it wasn't so much fun for him- but we did have fun seeing Huston get first place in his age group! Good job, buddy!
Plus, it's always fun to see our running buddies again!
While we were at the Fun Run, Kael was hanging out with friends and then went to a lock in at Perfect Games. They stayed up all night and played laser tag. Kael said it was one of the best days of his life and definitely the most fun he's ever had in Iowa. Kylee had a sleepover at a friend's house so she had a fun night too.
Saturday morning Kylee had mandatory ref training for volleyball. Kase had basketball games. He and his team were SO fun to watch this year. They've improved so much! They gave an undefeated team a run for their money and the kids just played their hearts out.
Kase was bummed about the loss but had a fun day anyways. Keith and Cindy went to Kael's Festival of Choirs. He was so glad to have some family in the audience! He's been excited for this event all year.
Later that afternoon I took Kylee and Kase to my sisters house and we all hung out for a bit. So great to get together.
Later the kids even got to see Fancy, who is Tyson's lizard.
Kylee stayed over with Brooklyn and the rest of us had a nice night here. Sunday we got a few things done around the house, then Kent and I got to go to Kael's Festival of Choirs. This is just such a neat event and I'm so happy Kael is involved.
Kase spent the afternoon playing with friends but I did spy this sweet moment of him reading to our Elf Pet, Prancer.
Kylee had volleyball practice Sunday afternoon. Later we all loaded up and stopped for ice cream in Prairie Trail and drove around looking at Christmas lights. We finished our night on Gingerbread Lane where Kase was so excited to hop out and see Santa!
