Weekend Wrap-Up

I can't believe we just wrapped up our last weekend of summer! Here's how we've spent the last few days.

Kylee helped me "harvest" our garden. She had the best time picking these carrots. 

Friday Kylee went to Adventureland with a friend and the boys and I were going to go too, but there was an armed robbery in Altoona and lines were crazy to get in so Kylee ended up going back to her friend's house.  The boys and I made a quick stop at this fun park while we were in Altoona!

We had a low- key night Friday night with Kael staying over at a friend's house and the rest of us going out to packet pick up for Kylee's triathlon Saturday morning.

We were up and on our way early Saturday.  Kylee was anxious but excited to get going!

One of our friends helped make sure her bike was good to go.

She set up her transition and walked the course a little bit.

And then was ready to go! This was her first triathlon with a swim in open water and definitely the farthest distance she's ever had to race.

We just loved watching her! I was so proud of her for challenging herself to give a Rip Roar a try!

It was a really fun morning with family and friends and we are so thankful for the people who helped us out with Kase and also just came out to cheer Kylee on!

Kase was such a good buddy all morning.  He had to get up early and be there for quite a long time!

She got home and went right to a pool party with her volleyball team! Love this group of girls.

When she got home we all went for ice cream then to a movie.  A great family night.

These are my people. Love them.

Sunday was fun.  I took Kylee to get her nails done, a bunch of neighbors and friends came over to hang out and the kids ended up doing a quick lemonade stand. 

Later Kylee and Kael rode to the old pool since it was the last day of the year it was open.  Meanwhile, Kase and a buddy went to Get Air and got some ice cream!

That night we went to a new place in town- Uptown Garage Brewing- with some good friends.  Kids had fun eating pizza and playing games.  We came back here for a fire pit, s'mores and some Capture the Flag! A fun end to the last weekend of summer!
