Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful for cool aunts and uncles for my kids.  Tammy sent Kael a picture of In -N-Out the other day when they were in California.  Love when people take time out of their lives to share things like this.

I'm thankful for the blonde streaks in Kylee's hair.  She's such a lucky girl.

I'm thankful when Kylee comes in and talks with us before bed.  She's been staying up late and growing up and I love when she comes in and has random things to share with us.

I love when Kent and I are out for a walk and we come home to see someone playing ping pong or basketball in our driveway with the kids.  There's this one couple with an adult son that are often out for a walk in the evenings and they always stop to chat.  One night we were out walking too and came home to see them playing knock out with the kids! So fun.

I'm thankful that Kael waits until the whole family is available before he watches any new Dude Perfect videos.  I love that he's found something that is fun and interesting for all of us!

I'm thankful for a special day with Kylee on Monday.  She had birthday money to spend (and Starbucks gift cards) and wanted to pick out a few back to school clothes.  We had the nicest time just wandering through stores, taking time to try on lots of new things and having lunch out together.  She is such a joy to spend time with.

I'm thankful my parents were willing to hang with the boys all day! Kael took Grandpa for a drive then Grandpa helped him wash his car.

I'm thankful Kase wanted to help! It sounds like they all had a fun day here and I know the boys were happy to spend time with my parents rather than time at the mall!

I'm thankful that Kase got to have his friend sleep over on Monday night.  It was super last minute- we were all playing volleyball in the backyard until dark and they asked to sleepover and it just worked out. Kase was over the moon.

I'm thankful for Kael's great attitude towards his first week of freshman football practice!

Kylee was thankful to find out her locker is in the atrium!

I'm thankful that Kase's best buddy's mom is a nurse.  Kase cut his toe pretty badly at their house the other day and she cleaned and bandaged him all up and even came down later to check on it and see if she thought it needed stitches.  (It didn't, thankfully.) Then she bandaged him up again and he was good to go!

Have a great weekend!
