Weekend Wrap-Up

Kylee woke up on her birthday in time to open gifts before Kent went to work.

She was so easy to shop for this year and just such a joy- so thankful and happy about each gift.  She loved the gifts the boys picked out for her too!

We spent some of the day getting ready for her party! The girls planned to do makeovers so Kylee put together this super cute makeup tray. Later she spent the afternoon at the pool with one of her best friends.

We went to El Azteca for dinner that night then came home for blueberry pie- Kylee's favorite! We had a great day celebrating Kylee.

The next day I had training for preschool but Kent and the kids got so much done around the house! Kylee did all the rest of the decorating/prep for her party.

So many streamers! And balloons in coordinating colors, of course!

I loaded the crew all up and we headed to the Briarwood pool.

We had poolside pizza.  What a great, fun group of girls.

Meanwhile, Kent and the boys were golfing with my parents! They had a lot of fun.  Kase didn't last super long because he wanted to join us at the pool, which worked out just fine.

Back home the girls played a fun Saran Wrap game Kylee made with tons of prizes wrapped up inside!

And Kase helped me hide surprises for their scavenger hunt.

They had fun running around the neighborhood finding clues!

And were good sports about taking silly pictures!

They came in to do presents and cake.

Then a little volleyball and Nuke 'Em in the (almost) dark!

Karaoke was super fun too.

And blindfolded makeovers were hilarious!

They stayed up late but had a great time.  I'm so happy with the group of friends Kylee has!

The next morning the girls had donuts and played a little more volleyball then headed home.  When my parents brought Kael back home, my mom took this cute picture of Kase and my dad. Boys in blue!

That afternoon Kylee had fun at a friend's house!

Then we all headed to the Fair! Kael and Kase made a quick stop at the Nintendo booth!

And we hit all of our fair favorites: baby pigs, big boar, big bull, butter cow, Varied Industries, and all the kids got tenderloins!

Kylee was pretty tired since she'd had her party the night before.

The humidity had us all kind of hot and tired so this fan was a highlight of the night- ha!

Kase loved seeing Herky!

By the end of the night both Kylee and Kase were down for the count.

And Kylee didn't love the smell of the barns! She takes after her aunt Tammy!

We had a fun time and really enjoy our annual visit to the fair! Big thanks to Cindy for the tickets she got for us!  We got home and got everyone to bed early!
