Wow, what a weekend!
Friday were the kids Valentine parties at school.
I had lunch with Kase before the party. I love that he still wants me to come join him!
He has a fun group of friends.
They played Musical Hearts and Kase and one of his best buddies were the last two standing!
So happy.
I can't believe this was Kylee's last school party!
The fifth graders had a great time. They played a really sweet baby/toddler photo matching game.
After school, Kent took Kylee to Porch Light coffee house. Lots of people were heading to the Daddy/Daughter Dance later that night but Kylee wouldn't be able to go since she had volleyball. I think she enjoyed this Dad/Daughter date more than anything!
Meanwhile I stayed home and played games with this cutie.
Later that night my parents stopped by and we shared some birthday cake with my dad before heading up to the boys basketball game. Kael's team was getting announced at halftime so they got to walk across the court- I got a video but unfortunately no picture to share! I was happy he was out there and he seemed to have a fun night.
The next day Kent took Kael to Porch Light to hang out and play some games! I ran into a friend later that day who told me she had seen them there and she thought it was the sweetest thing. Kent and Kael had a good time together.
Then Kase had a basketball game! He just loves it and has so much fun out there.
Kylee and her team were supposed to have a tournament this weekend but it ended up getting cancelled so they went bowling instead! Fun team outing.
I stayed with Kylee and her team and the rest of the moms, but Kent and the boys went with his parents and my parents to throw axes! Ha! My dad had been wanting to give this a try and Kent had been one time before so they all went and just had the best time. These photos speak for themselves and I can't wait to give this place a try sometime!
After bowling, Kylee and her friend helped me get ready for a team sleepover at our place. Keith and Cindy graciously offered to take the boys for a sleepover while nine fifth grade girls came and stayed at our place!
What a fun group of girls.
They played ping pong.
Borrowed Kase's gator.
Ate pizza.
Sang karaoke.
Played games.
Played Truth or Dare ("go upstairs and feel Kylee's dad's muscles!") I think this was more embarrassing for Kent than it was for any of the girls...
Did charcoal beauty masks.
Did a giant domino trust fall.
And, appropriately, watched a volleyball movie.
The next morning we made donuts and the girls had some more time to hang out before heading home. What a memorable night- team bonding is so much fun for this crew.
Kent scooped the driveway a few times as the snow kept coming down. Once all the girls left, we loaded up and headed to Collins to pick up the boys. Had a quick lunch with Kent's family before all coming home and relaxing.
Later Kent and the boys played in the snow while Kylee had volleyball practice. Kent has really perfected the art of the snow fort! He's made some fun spots for the kids to play.
Later Kent took the boys to the new Lego movie. Kylee came home from volleyball and crashed. It was an early night for us all!
My heart is full after a fun-filled, family-filled, friend-filled weekend. Hope yours was a great one too!
