Weekend Wrap-Up

You guys. We have fit SO much fun into the last week it's unbelievable- even for us! 

It cooled down (briefly) and started getting dark early enough for us to start using our fire pit a little more.  Love these nights with the kids. 

One morning Kase wanted coffee cake and I realized that soon he will be back to school and we will not have time to bake it before school starts- so I said yes and we made coffee cake together at 9:00 one morning.

Kylee had fun prepping for her birthday party- she planned a saran wrap candy ball game with her friends!

And one full day we spent at Climb Iowa.  The kids all had so much fun and seeing the joy on their faces when they reach the top just makes my day.

Last Tuesday night Keith and Cindy came down to go out for dinner for Kylee's birthday. We had a great time at one of our favorite places!

The next day we celebrated wtih my side of the family.  The grandkids spent the afternoon together in my parents' backyard.

And also tried out a new park with a zipline!

We were all together by dinnertime.  Kylee loves having the whole crew together!

We had a super fun night celebrating.

Later that night, Kase helped blow up birthday balloons to put in Kylee's room.

She was so happy when she woke up! She was thrilled and so very thankful for all of her gifts.

She's definitely become more interested in clothes and accessories this year!

And still slime, for sure!

The weather was lovely so we ate out on the patio.

And Kent came home early from work so we could spend the afternoon together at Adventureland!

Then dinner on the deck.

And homemade blueberry pie.

The next day she helped bake cupcakes for her friends' party.

And had a blast decorating the basement.

Then, the water slide arrived! We had the best time with this thing! Kael, Kylee and Kase spent a couple hours together getting to do the slide.  It was huge!

And so very fun.  It was the perfect summer day for it.

Later Kylee's friends came over to celebrate.

Such a sweet group of girls and they had so much fun. 

The boys came back for a little while to slide some more, then Kylee had another get together with her school friends.

They were a super great group! Kylee had a great birthday- so lucky for such wonderful family and friends to celebrate with.

Saturday Kent went for a bike ride with neighbors then later in the afternoon Kylee and I met up with my sisters family at Adventureland while Kase was at a birthday party.

Later that night Kase wanted to practice rollerblading.  Kylee was a great helper.  Kent and Kael were watching the Vikings/Broncos with a neighbor friend!

Then we all made our way down to another friend's house for a fire pit and s'mores.  We love these summer nights!

Sunday we spent at the fair!

It's always a great day.  The kids love getting as many tattoos as possible.

And we had lots of good food!

We were pretty wiped after a hot morning at the fair so we came home to relax for a bit, then met up with my sister and her family at the pool.  A perfect way to cool off and wrap up our weekend!
