Weekend Wrap-Up

August is here, you guys! And we are not slowing down.

Friday night we celebrated August birthdays with Kent's side of the family.  It was a great night and I'm just so very thankful for such awesome in-laws.  They go above and beyond making things special for Kylee! We had a really fun night spending time together.

Saturday we had the Wearda family picnic! It was in Ankeny and nearly 90 people made it! Such a cool day- catching up with family we hadn't seen in a long time. The weather was beautiful and the location was perfect.  We all had fun at Miracle League park and enjoyed a big game of kickball!

The sweet girl cousins!

Kael has such a gift for chatting with the older generation of family.

Loved getting to hang out with my look-alikes.

The last two weeks we have declared it to be Sunday Funday, but this week we also had a few things we needed to get done.  Kent took the big kids to Trail Point in the morning where Kael lifted his personal best on the dead lift which made him so proud and happy!

Later my parents watched Kase while the big kids helped us pick out a new kitchen table.

When we got home, we needed to get some yard work done.  Kylee wanted to learn how to mow the lawn.  She did her best, considering our mower is not self-propelled and she is not very big!

Then, we hit the pool to cool down.

Later I had  PTO meeting and Kent and the kids grilled out and ate on the deck and played some backyard baseball.  We loves summer weekends!
