Wow. What a weekend. I'll get to that in just a minute but here's what we did earlier this week.
Wednesday we went to Adventureland with friends. We have so much fun.
Thursday, Kase played his baseball game and was thrilled to get a medal~!
I want to always remember Kase at this age. Neon clothes all the time. No shirt, if at all possible. Plunking away loudly at the piano.
Then there was Saturday night. Wowza. We knew rain was coming but we had no idea that Ankeny would get flooded with ten inches of rain! We were so lucky and thankful to wake up Sunday morning to a dry basement. Many of our neighbors can't say the same. We visited my parents' house where the water was high, and they lost their bridges. But everyone was safe, which is what truly matters!
Sunday we spent at Adventureland with Tammy and her kids. We had the best time. Cousins are the best friends!
We had a nice dinner on the deck when we got home, then got started packing for our trip to Hawaii on Tuesday!
