Long weekend wrap-up

Wow. What a weekend!

We woke up Thursday to find out there was no school.  The kids were so excited because they were completely surprised by it! We made a fun breakfast and enjoyed spending the rest of the day being snowed in together. Kylee worked on her giant Lego set she had gotten for Christmas and had fun playing with that.  The boys spent a lot of time playing Nerf guns and Wii.

Snow day fun.
Friday afternoon I had a fun surprise visit from my sister! I loved catching up with her.  Kent had a really good day at work, so Friday evening we went with my parents out to eat at Sonny's to celebrate.

Saturday morning Kase was up super early and dressed in his shirt for his basketball game.  He was so excited to play.

He played a great game! Kylee  and Kael had games too.  We had a couple games at the same time so Kent and I had to split up.  Thankful for all the grandparents who came to watch too!

Saturday afternoon the kids went to my parents' while Kent and I shopped at Homemaker's for some new front room chairs.  We spent a lot of time there and our new furniture will come this week- I'm so excited to see how it looks in the space!

Sunday I wasn't feeling great.  So it was a pretty low-key day for us. We moved a few things around to get ready for the new furniture and made a quick trip to Target. Later, Kylee went to play at a friend's house and Kael had basketball practice so Kent took Kase ice skating! So thankful for our community and this awesome free rink!

Kylee and her friend spent the day baking cupcakes and making slime.
Sunday night the Vikings played.  Kael used to be a Bengals fan, but this season he has started to be a Vikings fan like Kent. They had fun making chicken wings together and were so excited about the last second win!

Monday was a no school day. We were so excited that our cousin/niece Kellen arrived and doubly excited that it happened on a day we could go visit! The kids were so in love with her already!

It's been a big weekend for us!
