Made some fun memories this weekend.
Friday night, Kase and I went to a Mother/Son Prom event at the library! It was so fun to spend some special one-on-one time with him.
Kase does not love getting his picture taken so I'm really thankful for these photos with him!
We arrived early because I had a feeling there would be a big turnout. So Kase and I took a few more photos while waiting in the car.
Blurry because he's shaking his head no, as in, "No kisses, Mom". |
I was so happy we had arrived early because Kase got to do all.the.things without having to wait in lines! We got our picture taken right away, then scored a sweet balloon sword before digging into the sweets!
Kase was happy to find some buddies there!
I was so thankful for my good friend who organized the event- she did such a wonderful job with it all and provided such a fun night for Kase, me, and lots of other moms and sons in our community!
After the dance we had some friends over to hang out for awhile at our house. Even though we had let the kids stay up late, they were all up bright and early and ready to play board games early the next morning.
Kael had a cold, early, cold, windy, cold soccer game. He didn't complain at all but I know it was a tough game. Kylee had Ninja Warrior class, then we tried a new restaurant in town with Keith and Cindy and had a fun afternoon hanging out with them.
Locals, have you tried Pie 5 yet? Pattersons give it a thumbs up! We loved it!
Saturday night we hung out at our friends' house and had a great night catching up with them. So good for the soul.
Sunday after church, Kael had another soccer game and this one was much warmer. Kael played so hard and even scored two goals. I just love, LOVE watching him play soccer. He really tries hard and looks like he's having so much fun out there.
After soccer, my dad and Kent went out for a boat ride. We are looking forward to spending a lot of time on the water this year!
Later, the boys went to the new Civil War movie...
...while Kylee and I went out with my sisters, mom and niece for our annual girls dinner out!
These ones. These are my people. Love 'em.
The food was great, the company was WONDERFUL but the highlight of the night might have been the photo shoot after dinner that Brooklyn requested!
