Weekend Wrap-Up

So I caught some slack for not posting last week on Thursday.  I really didn't realize how infrequently I had been posting! This whole baby/Christmas/moving thing is evidently keeping me busier than I thought! No promises, but I'll try harder to post more often.

Friday Kael came out of school with a big smile on his face.  He was carrying a piece of paper and informed me that he had been chosen as The Big Deal this week! He was just so proud and excited- it was a great start to the weekend.  His name got announced over the loudspeaker and his whole class cheered for him.  He has had a fun weekend showing his Big Deal certificate to all our family and friends.  I am so happy for him- he has been working really hard at school and it's so nice to see him rewarded for it.

Friday night Kent and I went to a friend's house for dinner.  There were 3 couples there and all 3 of us ladies happen to be pregnant, so we all had lots to talk about.  Kent and I really enjoyed our adult's night out and I'm pretty sure it's the first time I've seen the clock strike midnight in months. I'm so thankful for good food and great friends!

Saturday morning we all four went to Breakfast With Santa which is a really cute event that our Parks and Rec puts on every year. We all enjoy a big breakfast then Santa arrives, walks around and greets all the children, then everyone gets a chance to sit on his lap. Kael was the very first one this year to sit on his lap and when Santa asked what Kael wanted, Kael replied, "Anything you bring me is fine with me!" And when Santa asked Kylee if she had been a good girl, she very honestly replied,, "Well, I had been good but I hadn't been perfect."

Saturday night we went out for dinner to celebrate Kael being The Big Deal. Afterwards, we drove around looking at Christmas lights and drinking hot chocolate.  It was such a fun night.

Sunday Kael and all the other kiddos at church got to lead worship with their singing.  He looked so darn handsome up there.

The rest of the weekend we spent shopping and looking at houses. Have a great week everyone!
