Weekend Wrap-Up

 Fun, busy weekend here.

Friday night we went to ACBC night at the Jags game and Kase had the best time running around with his friends and we got to see a couple great games and enjoyed sitting with our friends too.  Kael was at a movie night for Junkyard and Kylee was hanging out with her boyfriend.

Saturday Kase had a tournament and was so excited to play.  He had one of his best games ever- season high for points and assists and he had our first 10 points of the game!

Love watching this buddy do his thing and be so happy. School- not his thing. Sports- totally his thing.  He came home from school on Friday pretty discouraged as he just truly does not enjoy a minute of school besides recess.  Trying to help him keep a positive attitude and encourage him that all he can do is try his hardest and also continue to stay on top of reading and homework.  Could be a long time until June for him.  Ha.

Nearly every one of the pictures my friend took of Kase was of him jumping or dancing or skipping.  Love it.

Ahhh the baseball throw.  Kase's favorite move.

Champs!

And Kase was SO excited that his siblings were available to come watch him play! Shoutout to Grandpa Keith and Grandma Cindy who drove not once, but twice to Gilbert that day so they could come back to Ankeny between games and see Kellen play.

Kent just keeping things clean at the tournament.  After watching our boys slip and slide all over the court he took matters into his own hands.

Saturday night Kent had a work holiday party that I did hate to miss but Kylee and I needed to head to Cedar Falls since she would be playing so early the next day.  The boys got to go out for dinner with Grandpa Keith and Grandma Cindy!

Kylee and teammates had some fondue fun at the hotel.

Sunday Kent and the boys had a great day.  They ate at Texas Roadhouse, went to the card store which Kase was so excited about, watched football and played cards.

Meanwhile, Kylee and team were having an amazing day of volleyball! They went 3-0 in pool play.  They went on to beat a huge favorite in the semifinals and went on to take the championship game to a third set but just couldn't finish it out- we were losing steam after a 12 hour day of playing volleyball.

Saw some really great things out of these girls and it has me so excited for how the rest of the season will go.  Future is bright for this team! Kylee especially came alive in the semifinal and had kill after kill.  Love seeing her happy and competitive.

Runners up!

We got home late but not so late that Kase didn't have time to show us all his new cards and then quick sat in the hot tub with the kids before shooing everyone off to bed. Kael had gone to the store for us when Kylee and I realized we hadn't eaten a proper meal all day and were craving tacos and queso when we got home so the boys had that ready when we walked in the door.  So great to come home to three sets of helping hands to unload the car too!

Have a great week!
