Weekend Wrap-Up and Happy New Year!

We have had the BEST winter break.  Here's how we've spent our last few days!

Squeezed in the cousin sleepover (after a million texts to coordinate- ha! Totally worth it!)

We took the whole gang bowling too- after Kael drove the girls to Starbucks first.  What a good big cousin.

The next day was Christmas at my mom and dad's! So happy we found a day to celebrate together but the best news was that my dad's heart was back in rhythm by that day!

Love this crew.

We had the best day.  The cousin gift exchange is always a highlight! We also had fun gifting my parents some things for their new lake condo.

Oldest and youngest cousins.

Tyson was helpful teaching Kase how to ride his new Heely's!

It was a great day and I'm always thankful for time spent with the family. Kase headed off to a birthday party that afternoon and Kael had work.

New Year's Eve was a fun day- Kent had smoked a brisket overnight and was so happy with how it turned out.

He had the best idea to set up pickleball in the garage since we have a heater out there.  He even chalked lines and we had so much fun playing all day and night.

We decided last minute to throw together a quick party with our friends.

The kids always have fun together.

Garrett had fun joining us too!

The whole gang made it to midnight! We had a great night playing cards and pickleball and watching football.  Kase's buddy spent the night and they even slept in a little the next day. This was Kase's fourth sleepover of Christmas Break so I am anxious to get him back on a normal schedule!

New Year's Day Kael went to work. The rest of us had a nice day here just relaxing and the weather was nice enough for Kent and I to go for a walk. Kase played with friends and later my boys all played old school Wii Sports. Kylee went to her boyfriend's then had volleyball.

Monday was the kids' last day of break.  Everyone slept in and Kylee had a volleyball scrimmage.  Later Kase had basketball practice at the new Prairie Trail facility. Kael went to the gym, Kase went to NinjaU with a friend and we grilled steaks here for dinner to wrap up a really great Christmas Break!
