Kase and I have been doing a lot of puzzles lately- he loves it!
Thursday night Kael went with Keith and Cindy to the Iowa women's bball game. They had a great time despite the disappointing loss.
Friday Kase had a birthday party, Kael and Kylee both went to the high school basketball game against Dowling and Kent was still in Vegas for work so I had a nice, rare night at home alone! When Kase got home he wanted to work on the puzzle!
Saturday morning Kael worked, we got a few things done around the house then Kase played with friends and Garrett came over to hang out with Kylee. Kase and his buddies had fun looking at old baseball pictures and videos with Kent.
Kylee and Garrett also got into the puzzle.
After a day of mostly just hanging around the house, I convinced Kylee, Garrett and Kase to go to Dazzling in the District with me!
The Coca-Cola truck was cool!
It was very cold out but the kids reported the hot cocoa offered in the Square was some of the best they had ever had!
We saw that Santa was there but there was kind of a long line and Kase declared himself "too old to sit on Santa's lap anyways". At the last moment, as Santa was getting up to go towards the Tree Lighting, Kase decided he was not too old for a picture with Santa. So sweet.
This snow globe experience was pretty neat even if the pictures had a funny glare on them.
The tree lighting was pretty and the fireworks were so impressive! I was not expecting them to last as long as they did!
Fun experience and we were all happy to be back to our cozy, warm house. Kent and Kael (happily) sat out of the Dazzling in the District in order to stay home and pick up pizza for all of us. Kylee and Garrett were super into the puzzle and didn't want to quit until it was finished! Great day and night, all around.
Sunday Kael worked and Kylee volunteered in the church nursery. Kase had a basketball tournament in Nevada and his team got second place. At the end of the tournament, we mixed up the two Jaguar teams that were there and scrimmaged each other and that was a highlight for everyone! Later Kylee had volleyball and Kael and I went to our church's Carol's and Lights Christmas season kickoff. What a great finish to our weekend!
