Weekend Wrap-Up

Thursday Kylee had a meet in Indianola.  It was a nice cool night and a great race for her! She always has a great kick and ended up 11th place overall.  5th Jag finisher.  We won again!

Always thankful for family who come out to support her! And also take pictures!

Cam's mom texted me earlier this week wanting to make sure we recreated this photo of Kylee and Cam when they raced together at Cross Country Nationals in Florida 5 (!!!) years ago.  Love their sweet friendship and what a positive role model Cam has been for Kylee.  It's her senior year this year so it's fun that she and Kylee get one season of racing at the high school level together!

Kylee is really enjoying the varsity girls.  They have been very kind and welcoming to her.

Friday our washing machine stopped working which was a major bummer because I do an awful lot of laundry around here.  Thankfully we got a new one ordered and it will be here Monday but I spent most of my day waiting around for the service tech.

Friday night was the Homecoming game and it was such an exciting one! Fun seeing one of the dance team members out there wearing Kael's jersey!

The game was a good one but the weather wasn't so great.  These little Jag fans were all nice and warm with their hats and blankets though!

Kase was excited to deliver Kent a water and get to go out on the field for a minute while Kent took stats.

Kael was really excited they pulled off the win and was really just as excited to get home afterwards.  He had plans and had invited a bunch of guys over to come over after the game.  I was so happy for him when a nice group of friends came over to just hang out, eat, sit in the hot tub.  I didn't get any pictures of them but thankful that he had a fun night.

Saturday morning Kael worked, Kylee had a long run and Kase had a 7-7 game.  His coach texted us after the game with Kase's current stats for the first three games- 20 TD passes, 1 rushing TD and zero interceptions.  Little buddy is doing pretty good. But more importantly, he loves it.  He just loves it so much.

After Kylee's run I took her to Johnston to meet up with her team for a volleyball tournament. The girls played well and lost a heartbreaker but in the end, Kylee wasn't terribly disappointed for the volleyball day to be done earlier than expected.  Saturdays are her rest and recovery day after a long week of running so she was happy to get home, ice her knees and just watch TV for awhile.  Later a friend came over to hang out with her.

Kase spent the day playing with friends, Kent and I had plenty to get done around the house and Kael squeezed in a quick trip to the gym after work.

Then he got ready for the Homecoming dance!

He met up with a group of friends at The District to take pictures then have dinner at District 36 before the dance.

What a fun group.

Loved this picture of Kael and aunt Tammy at the dance!

Afterwards, Kael went to a friend's house with a big group of kids and played pool and watched a movie.  Happy he had a fun night.

Sunday morning Kylee volunteered in the church nursery then had a friend's birthday party.  Kael worked and then had a short chorus concert.

Then Kase had a football game.

We had a pretty nice relaxing family night in after that which was just what we needed.  Hope you all had a great weekend!
