We have been living our best Winter Break life around here.
Kael has gotten along so well recovering from having his wisdom teeth out but we are definitely using it as an excuse to go get Frostys and smoothies all the time!
We spent one afternoon at the Operating Room.
And have spent lots of time trying out our new board games as well as playing a few old favorites.
Kael stopped by to hang out with his cousins the other day while the rest of us were busy.
And Kase spent a day at Perfect Games with some of his best buddies!
This new game is hilarious and so timely- Kael says he has been hangry since his tooth surgery.
But, Kylee was the winner so we very appropriately declared her Hangriest of All.
New Year's Eve day we all went to the Kurt Warner movie together and it was really good! We spent the afternoon and early evening playing ping pong and a new VR game. The kids loved it. Later Kael and Kylee both had plans and a sleepover with friends. I was so, so thankful for that. Kase was content to hang with us and we stayed up pretty late (for us- ha!)
We spent New Year's Day doing more VR, family games and just hanging out until the Hawkeye game started. I was trying out a new "walk the plank" thing on the VR and Kael snuck up behind me and jokingly pushed me and I totally fell to the ground. Kent got a hilarious video of it all and Kael has watched on repeat all day. It was a great family cozy day in. It was snowing out so we just mostly stayed in and played ping pong and eventually did go out to the hot tub and later the boys watched a movie while Kylee went to bed early and I did a puzzle.
Sunday we went to church then came home and got a few things done around the house then Kael went to work and Garrett came over to hang out with Kylee. Later Kase and Kent had their first indoor baseball practice of the season and then that night Kylee had volleyball.
It's been a great break but I think we're ready to get back to a normal schedule!
