We are leaving town in a few hours for San Diego but I thought I'd post a quick recap or the last few days.
We've been spending TONS of time at the pool. It's been super hot and Kase's baseball schedule has slowed way down so it's been nice to have some free time.
Kylee and her Briarwood girls were kind to let the boys join in a game of Sneak.
Friday night we went to the home show with our friends. We do this every year together and it's always a highlight. Had a quick dinner at Anna Dolce first and enjoyed looking at the houses!
Saturday was the Ankeny triathlon. None of my kids wanted to compete this year and that was just fine. We really loved cheering on our friends and family. So proud of them all!
Afterwards, Kylee had a couple volleyball tryouts (she got a bid for the one she wanted- yay!) and Kael had work so Kase and I headed to Sheffield for the family picnic. A great time was had by all. The weather was perfect and the kids had so much fun swimming and fishing. Kase caught a really nice bass and his other favorite part of the day was doing tricks off the floating dock with Adam and Neal.
It was so great to catch up with lots of family we don't see often enough!
