It was a busy weekend so that's why the post is a little delayed. Here's what we've been up to!
Kael got an electric guitar! He has spent lots of time practicing already and I love that he's picked this up as a hobby. He's getting pretty good!
Had a baseball scrimmage in Polk City so Mandy and her kids came to watch then we hung out for a bit afterwards. Fun night!
Thursday afternoon I took the kids to the mall. Everyone needed all the new things. School shoes, football cleats, clothes...and we had about 3 hours where no one had plans so we made the most of it!
Kylee helped decorate the truck for State baseball!
Kael surprised us with peanut butter pie that he brought home from work. He's so thoughtful. He's been putting in a ton of hours lately! Kylee had a friend sleepover a couple nights last week.
Friday we had our first round of baseball games but the last game got cut short because of a big storm rolling in. We ducked under a tree to escape the hail!
The good news was we wrapped up in time to make it to my nephew's birthday celebration.
It's rare to get the whole gang together and we were only missing Brooklyn.
Back to baseball the next day to pick up where we left off. The rain had messed the whole schedule up so we only had a half game to finish then were off the rest of the day.
So the whole team and families went to Sports Page!
Later that night the kids jumped on the trampoline while it rained. So fun.
Then it cleared off enough to see the Summerfest fireworks! Kael had gone to a friend's house to watch it but the rest of us plus one of Kylee's friends saw them from our driveway. It was so chilly out we were all wrapped up in blankets!
Hey can I get in the picture?
Wait me too! (The one in orange was on our team last year and came out to cheer us on- so awesome of him and his family!)
A little Cupid Shuffle before the championship game.
Doggie pile after the victory! Kent had been visualizing this with the team for the last few weeks now and it actually happened!
My mom had such a great idea to take a picture of the Crew friends and family and fan club! We are a loud, crazy, passionate bunch!
What a fun and rewarding weekend. I'm so thankful for the families we have gotten to know through Kase's baseball team and the friendships that will last forever. Also so proud of Kent. He really does put a lot of time in with these boys and really wants the best for them. We saw a lot of other coaches this weekend really arguing calls, belittling their players and I'm so happy with the way Kent leads this group of athletes. Lots of fun years ahead I'm sure!!!
