Weekend Wrap-Up

Here's how we've been spending the last few days:

Kase has been hanging out with buddies. Nothin' new there.  All day, every day.

Kylee had her last youth group night and it was a dress up/party night.  This sweet group of girls came over after school to get ready together and hang out.  They went as Joey from Friends!

Kael went out for a belated birthday steak dinner with Keith and Cindy and had a great time!

Kylee and I spent the weekend in Omaha for volleyball. She played the best I have seen her play all season and we ended 3rd in the gold bracket.  So proud of her and the whole team! Lots of fun memories made.

She even squeezed in a quick visit to her friend who moved to Omaha last year.

Meanwhile, back home, Kent and the boys were getting along just fine without us.  Kent even made Kase his favorite donuts!

More volleyball on Mother's Day...

What a great group of athletes, coaches and families!

We made it back in town in time for our annual Mother's Day dinner with my sisters, nieces, mom and dad.  So glad we fit this tradition in. We decided it was our 7th year of doing it! This year we ate at Hidalgo's- yum!

I came home to a clean house, beautiful fresh flowers on the table, and happy boys.  I am so lucky to have a husband who takes care of everything while I'm gone and I come home to the house in better shape than I even left it! I know Kael was a big help (he vacuumed the whole house!) when he wasn't at work- he fit in a lot of hours this weekend.

Kase was at a friend's house when I arrived home but Kent had called him and told him to head home since I would be getting home soon.  He got there just minutes after me and couldn't hop off his dirt bike fast enough.  He smiled so big and yelled, "Mom! You're home! I missed you!" and gave me the biggest hug.  That made my day.

We have blessedly un-busy week around here.  Kylee is on a three week break from volleyball, Kael is done with track and youth group is done for both of my big kids.  I am so excited to spend a relaxing week with my people!
