Weekend Wrap-Up

Another birthday celebration in the books!

Friday night Kase took two of his best buddies to Urban Air and Pizza Ranch then back here for a sleepover.

A highlight was watching them arrive home like this, blasting the song "Pump It Up" and dancing in the car.

I can't say enough about how lucky Kase is to have these two friends.  They really are such a great group and they always have so much fun together!

That night Kael had joined us at Pizza Ranch then went and played football with some friends.  Kylee was babysitting.

The next morning Kael went to his first job! I am so, so proud of him for going out on his own and getting a job at Trailside Tap.  I love that he's getting a foot in the door at a restaurant and also so happy he gets dressed up and looks nice and takes this seriously.  Locals, he will be a host there most weekend brunch days so go pay him a visit!

Saturday Kase had his first baseball tournament!

Our Pella fam came out to watch with us!

Kase pitched so well.  I was really happy for him. We lost both games Saturday but I was really proud of how the boys played!

Saturday night we celebrated the April birthdays with Kent's side of the family.  It was a great night with everyone and the boys were thrilled with their gifts.

Kase was wiped! He was falling asleep by the fire pit before 9:30!

Sunday morning Kael went to work and Kent and I got some things done around the house.  Kase played with a friend.  That afternoon Kase had more baseball games.  The first one was a tough loss but we won the second game and every boy got a hit! Kase had several good, solid hits and he was so, so happy.

When we got home Kase's best buddy stopped by with a birthday gift.  He and his dad hung around for a bit chatting about the days games.

Meanwhile, Kylee was at volleyball practice and we were so thankful Keith and Cindy were able to help out giving her and her friends a ride so that I could be at Kase's games.

What a great April weekend!
