These buddies had a fun dinner out together after a Dads vs. Kids night at baseball practice. Seriously we have the BEST families as a part of this team!
Friday morning hit hard- ha! Kylee had a late night Open Gym for volleyball and since Kase had been out late with friends, these two woke up and promptly lounged around the house.
These two had a fun afternoon at the pool earlier in the week! (Sorry, photo out of order).
And Kael had fun teaching Kase's friend's little sister how to flip on our trampoline. Seriously you guys. He is just the best.
Kase and his friends found out there WILL be a junior football season this fall and got so excited they busted out the yearbooks and started listing their "Dream Team" for who they hope to be with!
Then Kent came home from work early and offered to take the gang out tubing. Having my dad's boat available to use is just awesome and we are so thankful!
We ran into Kael and his friends out there too! The look on his face when we pulled up was priceless! His friends have a pretty fun setup so I can see why he wants to go out there with them all the time!
Kylee had fun with the boys and was such a good sport. We told her next time it's her turn to take friends!
Friday Kylee had found out the received the bid she was hoping for from a volleyball club and we'd just had a good day all around so we decided to eat out at District 36 as a family to celebrate. Love spending time with my people!
Saturday morning we met the Simms at Terra Lake Park in Johnston to check out the tri course that is happening there in a couple weeks and also to kayak/splash around/play at the park. It was such a beautiful morning!

That afternoon while Kael was at Adventureland for a friend's birthday, Kent and Kase put in some work in the backyard. Kase is just having the most fun with baseball right now and I love to watch them together. Kase keeps saying he doesn't want to pitch in a game but he's showing some real growth in his skills!
Saturday night Kael had a sleepover with his friends and Kent and I stopped by Kevin and Kaity's 30/40 party at Kyle and Julia's house. So good to see everyone for a bit! Then we headed to Kase's friend's Ryker's house for a birthday party/grill out/pool party/baseball get together. Kylee came along and we just had the best time.
Sunday morning we went tubing on the river! We call our adventures "Patter-hart-ing" and our friends are always up for fun.
Some highlights include jumping off a big rope swing, having a picnic on the sandbar and just spending time with some of our favorite people. The kids swam, jumped, played catch and just laughed together all day long. It was so great. Kael spent the day with my parents after being picked up from his sleepover and I'm so, so thankful they were available to hang with him! He had a great day too. We wrapped up our weekend with dinner at Briarwood and golfed a few holes before coming home and calling it an early night. We were all exhausted after a busy weekend!
