Friday evening Kael had a basketball game. His team won and he had fun but he did hurt his finger! It seems a little better today though. He is having fun with the season and has just one game left!
Kylee was scheduled to have a tournament the following day in Tipton, and the weather forecast wasn't looking good so we sent her on ahead Friday night with a couple of her teammates and her coach. She had a fun night!
Saturday morning my mom came to hang out with the boys so Kent and I could get on the road early, ahead of the rain, to Kylee's tournament.
Kael made breakfast!
And we got there just in time to see the start of Kylee's first game!
My parents also took the boys to see my niece's basketball game and it looks like Kael is catching Aunt Mandy in height!
Kase had fun finding giant icicles!
And at the tournament, Kylee's team was playing great and having lots of fun.
They played another CVA team in the semi-finals.
Back in Ankeny the boys were having fun in the snow!
Love this giant snowman!
Kylee's team ended up winning the championship! And we made it back to town just as the weather started getting bad so it was perfect timing.
We ate a quick dinner with my parents and the kids then headed home to cozy up for the night and wait for the blizzard to set in!
We woke up the next morning to very windy, snowy conditions. After breakfast Kent and the kids went out to move snow. Then Kent headed to church early as he had parking duty- what a tough day for that! The rest of us joined him at church where there wasn't a very big crowd.
After church and lunch we went to see the dragon movie that Kase has anxiously been awaiting! We decided to give the 4D a try and it was pretty cool! The seats really moved a lot! So fun hearing the kids reactions each time something new happened.
After that we headed to the gym and Kent and the kids swam. I ran into my parents there and walked for awhile with them. Then we came home and had a fun family game and movie night. It was a great end to a fun weekend!
