Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday I had an all-day preschool training so the kids were excited to get to spend the day with my dad and mom.

And they certainly made the most of it! They went to Reiman garden, ate lunch at Hickory Park (where Kylee even had them sing her their famous birthday song), went mini-golfing at Perfect Games, then Kylee played at a friend's house, while Kase hung out with Grandpa and Kael and Grandma went to Toys R Us! The kids had such a fun day!

Later that night we grilled out and ate dinner on the deck since it was so nice out.  Then we played tennis at Hawkeye park for awhile then took a family walk around pond.

Saturday morning my sister and her kids came for a visit.  They had so much fun together and I was glad to get to catch up with her a little! They brought Kylee a sweet early birthday present and Kylee enjoyed showing them her room.

We spent the rest of the day getting a few things done around the house then I had a wedding to go to for a preschool friend's daughter.  Meanwhile, Kent and the kids visited Uncle Kyle and Julia at their house, played at the park nearby, then later took a bike ride to another favorite park near our house.

We had a great time at the wedding.

Sunday we celebrated Kylee's birthday with my family.  She picked Leaning Tower pizza for lunch and brownies and ice cream for dessert.  She just loved all her gifts and especially loved spending time with family.  We're so lucky to have so many family and friends nearby to celebrate with!

Gosh, she's looking grown up!

Sunday afternoon Kase had a friend's birthday party and had such a fun time.  He even got to ride to the party with the birthday boy and his family so he certainly felt special.  Kael played Nerf gun wars with his friends outside and Kylee and I made a quick trip to Polk City with thank you note for my niece that Kylee had made using her new pens.

My heart is full and even though I do feel like summer is starting to slip away a bit,  I know we have plenty of fun things still going on before it's all the way gone though, which makes it a little sweeter.

Hope your weekend was also filled with the people you love most!
