Weekend Wrap-Up

Thursday was Kase's preschool program! My students' program was in the morning and Kase's was in the afternoon so Kent stayed home with him in the morning.  They had a fun time together running errands and playing Hot Wheels.

Then Kent picked up the big kids from school to come watch Kase's program!

I loved watching Kase up there with all his classmates.

It's hard to believe he's officially a kindergartener now!

The kids all enjoyed Kona ice after the program.

Here's Kase with one of his best buddies.

And another one. ;)

These are my people! All the preschool teachers!

Friday night we had dinner at Benchwarmer's then went to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie.  Kent and I went in with fairly low expectations but it turned out to be a pretty funny and relevant movie. The kids loved it.

Saturday morning we were up early and went to the season opening of the Ankeny Farmer's Market! It was so much fun even though it was pretty chilly. Locals, check it out! The Ankeny Market Pavillion is pretty cool! I had a graduation party to go to after that, then Kase had a tee ball game.  I couldn't believe it wasn't cancelled but he sure didn't seem to mind the wet, cold weather.

Later that day we went for a family bike ride to the Miracle League park.  Kent and I left feeling so thankful for all the awesome parks and trails we have here in Ankeny.  The kids had so much fun running around together, then we came home to relax and have family movie night.

Sunday we had nursery duty at church, then spent the day hanging around home. Kael had a late afternoon soccer game in Pella. Kael played a great game! I was so thankful for all the family who came out to support him! Thanks Mom, Dad, Keith, Cindy, Cliff, Connie, Kevin and Kaity for making the trip, even on such a cold, windy day!

We had dinner with the Pattersons after the game then headed home.  Everyone was pretty tired and got right to bed when we got home.  Kase and I have some fun plans ahead this week while the big kids are still in school, but mostly we just can't wait for them to be done like we are!
