The kids loved visiting her and knew she would always have a treat waiting for them. Spending time with her great grand kids was one of her greatest joys.
I have so many wonderful memories with my grandma. Annual family trips to Adventureland, epic Easter egg hunts, hotel stays are some of the big things that come to mind. But more than the big events, I remember all the little things. She made the best chicken and noodles in the world. She came to every sporting event she possibly could and was always one of the first ones there to see us warm up. She saved all the trinkets we'd gotten from Chuck E. Cheese for years and years.
I remember a few times when my kids were younger and my parents were out of town, my grandma packed her bags and came to spend a few nights at our house and loved helping out with the kids. She spent time showing me how to make her famous chicken and noodles and I'll never forget standing in my kitchen with her, watching and learning.
I'm just so very thankful that my kids got to know her and love her. We sure miss you, Grandma.
