Weekend Wrap-Up

We are officially back in the swing of things after vacation.  It has been a week filled with catching up on things (laundry, errands), back-to-school shopping, PTO board meetings...

..and also a lot more FUN!

One of Kylee's friend's called us asking if we could join them at the Meghan Trainor concert at the State Fair on Friday.  We very excitedly said yes and had a great time!

Sharing a tenderloin with her friend.

And cookies, of course.

We had great seats and it was a beautiful night!

The fireworks after were pretty awesome!

Saturday morning we spent getting a lot of stuff done around the house.  I'm so appreciative of Kent- he was on Dad Duty while I was at a late meeting on Thursday, then he stayed home with the boys on Friday while Kylee and I were out til late at the concert (he'd even offered to drop us off so we didn't have to mess with parking- so sweet! Turned out our friend had a parking pass though which turned out to be an awesome surprise), AND he crossed a million things off our to do list that morning.

Saturday afternoon Kylee rode her bike along with me while I ran and the boys played Frisbee (yes, we're still super into trick shots and playing Frisbee), then the kids all played board games together, and after that we celebrated Kylee's birthday with Kent's side of the family!

We ate dinner at El Azteca, which has been a favorite for years and years.  The waiters know us well and were thrilled to bring Kylee a sombrero and sing to her!

Back home she opened gifts, then we showed Great Grandpa and Grandma all our vacation pictures.

Had a sweet finish to the night with an ice cream cake!

Sunday afternoon we spent out on the boat and hot dog! It totally left me wishing we had more time to spend out on the water! The kids LOVED it and it was a beautiful day!

Sunday evening we had dinner with my sister and brothers-in-law. Such a fun night out.

Meanwhile, all the cousins had fun hanging out together a Grandpa at Grandma's!

It was a good one, guys.  Loved all the family time. Back to reality today- schedule pick up and school pictures for Kael, dentist appointments for all...crossing things off our back to school to do list!
