Thankful Thursday, Iowa State Fair Edition

We had the best time at the Iowa State Fair last night! We try to make it every year, but often just go for a few hours.  We spent all evening there last night- it was great!

I'm so thankful for the tickets Cindy had given us- a Family Fun pack, complete with lots of extras! The kids got to do rides and see exhibits that we typically don't do!

Kael loved this Crazy Mouse ride.

Kase had fun climbing high! That's him up there in the green shirt!

Kylee had been waiting awhile to weigh enough to do the zipline!

Kase was all smiles after a couple trips down the big slide!

But the ride that got the most smiles and laughs was, of course, the double ferris wheel!

Kase loved riding the pony, and got a marathon ride on the camel since no one else was in line.

Tattoos in the Varied Industries building were a must.

Ice cream!

I'm super thankful for several other (not pictured) things- a great parking spot, a beautiful night weather-wise, and, most of all, a husband who found a veggie wrap stand (at the IOWA STATE FAIR, guys) for his wife who isn't so excited about meat on a stick.

Here's what else I'm thankful for this week.

I'm thankful Kael has his middle school schedule and is feeling ready for the school year!

I'm thankful for how much fun these three have had together lately.  They've been playing board games like crazy, and if it's a game Kase doesn't know how to play, they give him the extra pieces and set up a little place for him to play.

I'm thankful for this brother photo reel.

I'm thankful for the afternoon Kylee spent with these cuties.  And also thankful that all that makeup washed off easily.

I'm thankful that Kent thought to snap this early morning photo of Kase and me. Kase almost never snuggles/cuddles so I was very thankful for this moment.

I'm thankful Kael had fun at his football evaluations last night.  I hope he has a great season.

It's been a great week but I can't believe how close we are to school starting! I feel like there's still a lot to do.  How about you? Are you all ready for back to school?!
