Weekend Wrap-Up

Our weekend got off to a fun, early start.  Kylee and I joined my sisters, nieces and nephew at Jasper Winery for a Nadas outdoor concert on Thursday night.  It was so fun!

Truly it was the loveliest girls plus Tyson night! Loved catching up with my sisters and Kylee was so fun too.

These boys have been loving riding their bikes up to the high school baseball games as often as they can.  A little taste of freedom and they've gotten to see some really great games! Also, strongly reppin' the Ankeny Crew- ha!

Kent took this boy gang fishing on Friday! The day started out rainy but by all accounts, they had a blast.

So thankful for this awesome place!

Saturday morning after Kylee had a long run we packed up and headed to Clear Lake to spend the weekend with my family!

Here's the whole gang! We were all dressed in festive red, white and blue so we got some great pictures!

Sisters. Look-alikes. Best friends.

Twins!

Triplets!

Lunch crew.

Hanging out by the beach and floating dock.

Top knot girls.

You GUYS.  We packed 13 (!!!) people into my dad's Yukon so we could get dropped off at the carnival and not have to park multiple vehicles there.  Hilariously memorable ride.

It was so fun walking around the vendor fair and hitting up a few rides!

So funny.

Love these two so much and so thankful for how they've chosen to spend their money on such a wonderful place for us to make family memories!

Oldest cousin, youngest cousin!

We squeezed in an early birthday celebration for Huston!

Time to swim!

These two both lost teeth while we were there!!

Time for yard games!

I slotted in TWICE in a ROW in KanJam! And one of the times it was the very first throw of the game. I've never even slotted it once in my life before! Winners!

The guys had fun twilight fishing!

Beautiful sunset.

Then later we took a sunset cruise.  It was so, so pretty.

We stopped by the carnival area to see some live music!

Meanwhile Kent and Kase explored the 'hood.

Big crowd for live music!

Carnival looked cool lit up at night.  We even saw a bunch of fireworks on our way back to the condo!

We were all a little sleepy the next morning...

But Kael and Kylee went out right away skiing! Big thanks to my sisters who got pictures and video since they were on the boat with them! It was Kael's first time getting up and staying up for a long while and Kylee's first time going outside the wake.  So proud of both of them.

Then we spent the rest of the morning tubing.

Everyone had so much fun!

After lunch we mini golfed and got ice cream.  It was a fun course!

Vogels and Simms took off so my fam and mom and dad went out for a long boat ride.  The boys tubed for quite awhile- the lake was getting busier so they loved the extra waves!

Then we really enjoyed driving around and seeing all the boats and houses.  It was so fun!

A little swimming too.

It was such a great weekend and we all look forward to going back more this summer. So thankful for a big family that all gets along so well and just thankful for time away with the fam.  Love all my people.

We went back and forth about possibly splitting up and having a couple of us stay at the condo one more night but in the end we came home so everyone could get a good night sleep.  Looking forward to more holiday fun this week!
