Big weekend around here!
Kase and his team had a tournament in Dyersville where the Field of Dreams was filmed. Kase hit a home run the very first game!
His buddy Ben was so happy for him.
The boys had a blast at the hotel pool.
And having pizzz in the parking lot and playing wiffle ball.
Then, celebratory ice cream!
Cool picture of the boys.
They had another game Friday morning then took off for Lake Delhi where one of the families had a house. We had the best afternoon- the boys fished and tubed and jumped off a cliff and ate and swam and took boat rides- it was a blast.
The boys were tired and goofy on the way back to the hotel.
Saturday the boys had a couple more games and looked great!
This kid was named after Kase! One of our teammates relatives was pregnant and came to a game and heard people cheering for Kase and decided she liked that name and now, next season, our Kase got to meet him!
Happy guy.
After the games, Kent surprised the boys with new jerseys and hats! They LOVED them!!!
We debuted the new uniforms at the Field of Dreams Skills Competition at the actual movie site!
It was such a neat experience- the boys looked great and got to have a catch with their dads/each other on the field!
So fun that Keith and Cindy were there too. The boys enjoyed running around, getting food and ice cream from food trucks and it was a beautiful night.
Crew boys!
Crew moms!
My guy!
My other baseball guy!
These three were in the speedster competition!
They got their names announced in front of the huge crowd and got to run to first base.
More fun.
We had a fun night and then had an early morning game.
We won our first one then lost to the eventual champions. It was just such a fun, memorable weekend for the boys and I'm so happy they got to do this tournament!
Meanwhile back home Kael and Kylee were having fun- Kylee went to the District with friends. Kael watched a movie with a friend. Kael also worked, Kylee went to her boyfriend's baseball game and then later Kylee headed to the lake with my parents!
They had a great time looking at houses around the lake and eating out and going for boat rides.
Kael ended up getting off work earlier than he thought so he surprised them and drove up late Saturday night! They had fun playing cards and games and then enjoyed going out on the lake and eating at the Tiki restaurant on Sunday.
So thankful that my parents were able to spend the weekend with my big kids! They really had a great time and I love that they get to make memories with my parents and be out on the water!
We all got home happy and tired-spent the evening catching up with each other, unpacking; Kase went to the pool with friends and Kael surprised Kent with a gift he had bought from a concert a few weeks ago! So thoughtful and I was happy Kent had something to unwrap. A great day celebrating Kent- he's the best dad!!! I'm also glad my kids got to spend the day with my dad since I couldn't see him. And so thankful Kent's dad was there at the Field of Dreams so they could have a catch together. Great weekend!
