Weekend Wrap-Up

It was a busy weekend around here!

But first funny story- I ran into my sister at the mall on Friday.  I only go to the mall maybe once every other month and I don't think she goes very often either so it was hilarious that we were in the same store at the same time!

Friday afternoon Kase got invited to swim at his friend's new pool! So fun.

Once Kael and Kylee were home from track, we picked up Kase and headed to Red Lobster for Kael's birthday dinner. Such a great night celebrating Kael and spending time with my favorite people.

Happy guy!

Saturday we had a nice day- I know it was killing Kent that our baseball team wasn't playing that day because all of our friends' teams were playing at Prairie Ridge- right by our house! Kael worked, Kylee spent the morning hanging out with her boyfriend then she, Garrett and Kent went to Drake because Kylee was supposed to run the 4x400.  There was lightning so it got delayed, then eventually canceled and Kylee was bummed because she really was excited to run there! Kase spent the day hanging out with his friend, doing funny Oreo TikTok challenges and hooking ropes up to his bike to pull his friend on rollerblades.  Totally Kase things to be doing.

Saturday night Kael had Prom! He looked so handsome all dressed up and it was great seeing him so happy.

I went downtown with them to 801 Grand to take pictures.

Kael and his best friend Gabe.

The whole group!

Kael had fun at Prom but more fun at After Prom- I heard him come in at 5:30 AM!

While Kael was at Prom, Kent and I and his family all went to the annual Rotary fundraiser event.  It was a great night supporting our community and wonderful to spend time with his family!

Sunday morning Kylee volunteered at nursery, Kael slept in. After church we went to Filet for an early birthday brunch! It was so good. Later Kase hung out with friends- they built a very cool fort in the basement, Kael had a Walk meeting then work.  Kylee went to her boyfriend's house and Kent had a massage. We spent the rest of the day working on miscellaneous things- talking and planning Kael's grad party and Kase's birthday and stuff like that.

I wouldn't have hated warmer weather but it was actually a really nice, relaxing weekend!!! Have a great week all!
