Weekend Wrap-Up

Long weekends are the best and they are even better when all five of us have lots of free time to spend together!

Friday night we went out to Saylorville for the first time of the season.  We are Boat Club members for the second year now and we really enjoy it.

This guy has been working hard eating healthy and it shows- he looks great!

These two had a lot of fun together.

Kase wasn't so sure about the chilly water so he stayed on the boat but Kael and Kylee jumped in a few times!

Back at the marina Kase wanted to check on the huge fish.  He wants to catch one so badly!

We had dinner there and enjoyed the live music.

Back home we had the best family backyard night- playing KanJam, kickball and watching some baseball around the fire pit.

Then Bomb pops, of course!

The next day Kylee and I rode bikes to the Farmer's Market and popped into the Tap to say hi to Kael at work.

We brought Kase home a few goodies to try!

That afternoon Kylee and her friends had a grad party for their Road Crew leader at church.

And Kase and I hit up a grad party too.  So handsome all dressed up.  Meanwhile, Kael was at a barbecue with friends and had a great time.

Later that night Kase kinda crashed.  He wasn't feeling well so we had a lazy night in.

Totally out of order but here's a picture of Kase playing ball in the rain.  He never gets enough and asks to play catch morning or night, literally rain or shine.

Another out of order picture but Kael and the football guys had Riley Moss come talk at their Jag huddle last week after a workout- so cool!

Over the weekend Kase got to try something new- he has been asking to be a catcher for awhile now and he really had fun practicing!

Sunday Kylee wasn't feeling well either but perked up enough to go over to our friends' house for some fishing, kayaking and a grill out. Kael and Kylee had a $1 bet for the first fish and they tied! Both reeled in a fish right away and at the same time!

Kael's was bigger though- what a nice fish!

It was a beautiful night and the kids all got along so well and had a great time fishing. Shoutout to Kent who kept all 7 lines baited and working for the kids!

Kase got a little bored because he wasn't catching much...

So he took a hot dog break.

Then came back and caught this monster!

We finally broke out the kayaks and the kids had a blast.

Once the kids were all out on the water Kent and Mark finally had time to fish and they didn't catch anything! Ha!

Kael was a good sport letting Kase ride along on the back and dangling his feet in.

He didn't even mind when Kase caused them to get off balance and they both fell in! Oh man.  Love summer memories with my people and our friends.

Monday we headed up to the A frame.  Another gorgeous day.

Kase took off on the kayak by himself and reeled this one in all by himself out there!

Kylee even drove the gator.

Lots more kayaking and fishing all day long.

The water was warm enough to swim and do lots of diving catches with the football off the floating dock.

Smooch!

Kael caught a nice one out on the kayak too!

Oh, Kase. That just can't be comfortable.

Kase was happy to get a visit from Joe, Sabrina, Simon, Selah and Vader!

It was such a great weekend and I'm so thankful for time with my family. Just a half day of school for my bigs and only one and a half days for Kase.  Bring on summer!!!
