Fall sports continue to keep us hopping.
Kylee played against cross-town rivals last week which included some former club teammates! She played great and the Jags got the win! We had a big cheering section too- so fun.
Friday morning was Kase's school fundraiser- the Jag Jog! It was a perfect morning for it. I had to laugh when I saw him running with a thick cotton hooded sweatshirt under his shirt. He later explained when he walked in the door after school, "Mom, I was surprised to get to school and find out I wasn't wearing a shirt!" Ha- such a Kase thing to say but I totally understood what he meant. He had worn a sweatshirt to school with no shirt underneath it so when they handed out the Jag Jog shirts that day and the instructions were to "put it on over the shirt you're already wearing" Kase had no option but to follow the rules and wear it over his sweatshirt. So funny.
Saturday morning we were up early and ready to head to Iowa City for the big game!
Sunday Kael worked and Kylee hung out with friends and Kase had a football game. I could watch him play quarterback all day. He had a great game and tons of fun. And his cousins came to watch! Love these cuties.
That evening Kase had some buddies hang out and have pizza then the rode bikes to a different friend's house for dessert. Later Kylee had some friends over too and Kase and his friends came back and they all made s'mores and played football together. Kael had lifting then went back to work- a double shift for him today!
Needless to say we are all thankful for a no school day today! The boys wanted donuts for breakfast then I ran a few errands while they just relaxed. Later a friend joined and we went to Pizza Ranch to eat and play at the arcade for awhile. Then Kylee and her friend came back here and later Kase and his friend went to Urban Air. The girls went to the 8th grade football game and Kent and I headed to Waukee for the JV football game. My parents and Cindy came too and it was an interesting game! There was an injury early on in the game that stopped the clock for awhile and an ambulance even had to come. Kael filled us in later that the kid's elbow was messed up and they could see the bone- yikes. But the good news was he gets to have surgery tomorrow and think he will be ok. But the REALLY good news of the night was that Kael got a sack! I was SO happy for him and thrilled to hear his name over the loudspeaker! Way to go, buddy!!!!
