Weekend Wrap-Up

Making the most of our last free summer days here!

Kael has been at long afternoon football practices so he asked for this giant Hydroflask and couldn't be happeir about it!

Kase and a buddy squeezed in a sleepover while Kent was in Vegas for a work thing for a couple days.  Kylee spent a lot of time at the pool with friends. She has also kept busy with open gyms and cross country!

Friday we had lunch with the cousins then hit the pool together!

So fun to get the gang together.

 Kase carried all our waters for us while juggling a Big Bopper in his hand too.  Ha!

Everyone wanted to keep hanging out so we came back to our place for pizza and the kids all had fun running around together.

Saturday morning we boated with our friends.  It was a blast.

Everyone had fun tubing and swimming.  We even fit 5 of the 6 kids on the tube at once!

We grabbed lunch at the marina afterwards and this picture of Kase and Kendall just makes me laugh.  These two live life out loud and are the wildest of the six kids which I mean in the most complimentary way.  They keep us on our toes and have known each other since Kase was six weeks old so their relationship is more brother/sister than friend. He was like, "Hey, Kendi step on my back while I try to barehand catch a fish that way I don't fall in." And this was a totally normal thing for them. 

We headed for home then Kase wanted to run up to the Briarwood pool so it was just me and him which ended up being so fun.  He always seems to have a friend or sibling along with us wherever we go but since it was just us he wanted me to play catch and frisbee and football with him in the water and it was so fun.

Meanwhile, Kent and Kylee picked up coffees and drove around looking at houses. This is their favorite way to bond lately and I love it.

That night Kase had a pool party with his Ashland Ridge friends and the weather was a little spotty but we still had a blast.  When we got home he wanted us to get him his favorite Ben's Burgers which he ate in his robe and I hope I never forget the days like this.  He goes so hard all day- tubing, boating, two pools...forgetting to eat/not wanting to eat all day then getting home late at night and eating two bacon cheeseburgers, fries and a shake.  

 

Sunday we celebrated the August birthdays at Keith and Cindy's! Kellen and Krue were so excited to see their cousins! Kylee got some great gifts and is looking forward to going shopping with her money and gift cards! We had brunch then brownies!

Later, Kase worked on a birthday card for Kylee and it was so sweet.  He said, " You're the best sister in the whole wild world." Wild.  Instead of Wide. I love it. 

Sunday afternoon we ended up with some free time to golf! It was great.  Kase went to the pool with a friend so we loved spending time with the bigs.

Later Kael wanted to go to Get Air with a friend so Kylee, Kase, Kent and I went to the Briarwood pool and Keith and Cindy stopped by too.  A fun end to the weekend!
