Weekend Wrap-Up

Another April birthday celebrated! Friday was a no school day.  The kids all hung out with friends and later in the day Kylee and Kase and I went to Scheel's to get a few birthday ideas for Kase.  Mostly he wanted to look at cool tennis shoes. Kael had track practice. Friday afternoon Kent and I spent getting all our patio furniture out, he mowed, just got stuff ready for spring.  Keith and Cindy came over later for pizza.

Saturday morning Kent and I went for a long walk then we spent the day getting things done.  All the boring things like filling out passport renewal information, talking about summer schedules and plans, things like that.  Kase went to Miracle League with some friends.  Saturday night, us 5 were actually all home together which never happens so we went to Rita's Cantina to celebrate my birthday.  Such a great night with the fam.

Kent said, "Are his arms bigger than mine?!"

Kylee was the sweetest big sister.  We had chosen to sit on the patio even though it was a bit chilly.  She took Kase to the car at one point because he was so cold while we were waiting for food.

Sunday morning I woke up to some presents and balloons! Kylee always makes things special.

Isn't this awesome?! One of my favorites she has ever done!

Kylee had a volleyball tournament all day and her team did well- second place! Lots of Ankeny girls at this tournament so they snapped a quick photo together.

Kase had his first 7 on 7 football tournament on Sunday and it sounds like he had a great time! The boys were 2-2 for the day which isn't bad for only having two practices.  Kase was QB all day and did well!

It was a great weekend with my favorite people!
